59 U.S. companies join ATO Shanghai at FHC and 38 at ProWine China with $29.5 million in Sales Projected at FHC China
The 18th FHC edition, FHC 2014, China’s largest international retail and hospitality food & beverage and wine & spirits show boasted a record 2,400 companies from 66 countries, including 44 official national and regional pavilions who met 34,700+ buyers from China and Asia. Including US Ambassador Asif Chaudhry, five Ministers of Agriculture attended the opening day of FHC 2014 accompanied by 9 Ambassadors to China, 14 Consul Generals from Shanghai and the most prominent leaders of the Chinese food industry. The USDA endorsed USA Pavilion, the largest to date at FHC China hosting a total of 59 companies including 19 new to market US companies, reports an estimated USD$4.4 million on-site and approximately $29.5 million of 12 month projected sales of U.S. agricultural products resulting from the show. Another 38 US wine & spirits companies participated in the 2nd ProWine edition of FHC. Onsite and projected sales figures for ProWine participants are not currently available.
