California wine is an unknown jewel
California wine is relatively new to China thus has room to grow while educating the market on the potential. ¡°Most people know about Napa; while the Napa region produced the first California wines to become known globally, one can find incredible quality wines from all over the State. We want the Chinese wine connoisseurs to learn to appreciate the wines from other California regions such as Sonoma, Central Coast and Lodi as well,¡¯ said Zhang Jing, the Chairwoman of the American Wine Importers Association Shanghai and President of Oak Wine Cellars based in Shanghai. AWIA will have a large booth and offer seminars for those looking to learn more about California wines.
Shanghai Partnership
The organizers are Orient Pearl Group, a subsidiary of the Shanghai Media and Entertainment Group, working in cultural, tourism and events management and Xanadu Enterprise Shanghai Ltd., a bilingual, bicultural China strategic market entry firm providing a range of consulting and business support services to support companies looking to enter the China market.
