North Carolina Reaches Out to Shuanghui
The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the North Caroline Pork Council traveled with ATO/Beijing staff to meet with Chairman Wan Long of Shuanghui, China’s largest pork processor. Shuanghui has announced its intention to purchase Virginia-based Smithfield, which is one of the largest employers in North Carolina.
